Job description

As a mill supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production requirements and ensuring sufficient operations. Your main duties will include:

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of production line workers.
• Monitoring production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
• Training new employees on operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Conducting regular inspections to identify any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Implement and enforcing safety regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborating with other departments to optimize production efficiency.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the production process.

Skills

To excel in the role, you should possess the following skills:

• Timber industry knowledge: Understanding of timber processing techniques and industry standards.
• Mechanical knowledge: Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery used on the production lines.
• Basic math skills: Proficiency in performing simple calculations and measurements relating to production quantities and specifications.
